With the new changes to Windows 10 and 11, I maybe screwed up something or maybe they did. When I tried to insert a simple headphone in my laptop&#8217;s headphone jack, it kept appearing as a microphone and didn&#8217;t work. Somehow the drivers got screwed up. All you need to do is uninstall the driver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">That can be tricky if you&#8217;re looking for a solution online. My solution worked. Press the Start key type &#8222;<strong>sound mixer options<\/strong>&#8222;. In the right side choose<strong> System &#8211; Sound<\/strong>. You should see the image as above this post. Choose <strong>More sound settings<\/strong>. And there you go! You found the place where you can uninstall the driver for your Headphones. Right click &#8211; Properties &#8211; Driver and <strong>Uninstall<\/strong> it. It will ask to restart. Restart system and then plug your headphones again.
